Sale of ebooks up 145% since last year

A report released this week by The Assoication of American Publishers reveals that on the whole, book sales are rising slightly.  But what’s more interesting is that ebook sales have nearly tripled in the past year!  While this breakdown* does not include children’s books, it does reveal an overall trend in the publishing industry: ebooks are booming, and they are not stealing from print sales.  This bodes well for the producers of print books.  It bodes even better for ebook publishers like myself, confirming my gut instinct that digital is the future of the industry.  Smarter folks than I have predicted ebooks sales will double each year till they claim a majority over print books.  I can’t make any such educated predictions, but here’s hoping my ebook sales follow suit!
